Our Team

Alex, as the Firm's President and Chief Investment Officer Since 2015 is responsible for directing the day to day operations of the Research Team in Jersey City and serves as Portfolio Manager for the Firm’s Small and SMid Cap Growth strategies. 

Prior to joining Pier in 2004, Alex conducted equity research at Richmond Consulting and Research from 2002 to 2004.  RC&R was an independent equity research firm, specializing in selecting and recommending investment ideas to buy side, with focus on pair-trade strategies centered on companies listed in the U.S. and Europe.  Prior to RC&R, Alex was at Individual Investor Group from 1997 to 2001.  From 1995 to 1997 Alex was with Value Line where he was responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial metrics of companies included in the Value Line Investment Survey.  Alex began his finance career at Prudential Securities in 1994.   

Alex received his BS (1993) and MBA (2003) from New York University.

Anne joined Pier in 2000 and her responsibilities include conducting equity research for the Firm’s Small and SMid Cap Growth strategies.  

While analysts at Pier tend to be generalists in scope, Anne, given her background, focuses on companies primarily within the Healthcare sector.  Anne was a Pharmacist from 1999 to 2000 at the Centenary Hospital in Toronto, Canada.  She conducted credit research at the Royal Bank of Canada Dominion Securities in Toronto from 1998 to 1999.  

She received her B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto in 1995, as well as her MBA in 1999.  Additionally, Anne holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Andrew joined Pier in 2006 and his responsibilities include conducting equity research for the Firm’s Small and SMid Cap Growth strategies.   

Prior to joining Pier, Andrew worked at Benefit Providers from 2003 until 2004, where he worked in the private client group and wealth management area.  From 2002 to 2003 he was at Fordham Financial, where he worked on risk management, insurance and tax and estate planning.  

Andrew received his BA from Carleton College in 2002 and his MBA from Rutgers University in 2006.

Dmitry joined the Pier in 2011 and his responsibilities include conducting equity research for the Firm’s Small and SMidcap Growth. 

Prior to joining Pier Dmitry held a Business Analyst position at Unilever for a year.  From 2006 to 2009 Dmitry worked as a Senior Analyst at The Nielsen Company.

Dmitry received his B.Sc. in 2006 and an MBA in 2011 both from Rutgers University.

Vidhi joined Pier in 2023 and her responsibilities include conducting equity research for the Firm’s Small and SMid Cap Growth strategies.  

Vidhi was a Financial Analyst from 2020 to 2021 at Western Springs, a Mumbai based manufacturing company, where she did financial modeling, cost analysis and sales forecasting.    

Vidhi attended the University of Mumbai where she received her Bachelor in Commerce in 2020 and Master in Commerce in 2022.  Additionally, she completed her Master of Financial Analysis at Rutgers University in 2023.

Natalie joined Pier in 2007 and her responsibilities include trading for all of the Firm’s equity strategies.  

Natalie has a number of years experience in equity trading and has worked at Trusco from 1997 to 2007, Capital Institutional Services, Inc. from 1994 to 1997 and Principal Financial Securities from 1992 to 1994.  

Natalie received her B.Sc. in Economics from Southern Methodist University in 1991.
